Earlier this year a celebration of the 20th year anniversary (for next year, which will make 20 years since the manga first debuted) began to remaster the original series, like the animation was changed a bit and also alterations to the subtitles..anyone watched it yet? I had watched all that was done so far and had to raise an eyebrow when Kaiba referred to Yugi as Yugi-kun..I mean I don't recall seeing that the first time I saw the episode in Japanese and Kaiba was said to have an impolite pattern of speech where he omitted the honorifics. But I like the change though. ^^

Ok the remastered series is only in Japanese and I am not sure if there will be a dub remaster as well.it's no different from when Sailor Moon was recently remastered to celebrate the anniversary of its debuted in Japan..and plus no dubbing company has the rights for Season Zero so they can't dub it even if they wanted to. In any event it is based on the manga which makes it separate from Duel Monsters..different series that is.

Well, they could get the rights if they wanted to. No dubbing company had the rights to redub Sailor Moon for a long time.

Hmm, why do this? What they should be doing is dubbing the season before Duelist Kingdom. I agree with this. It's about time they dubbed season 0 of Yu-Gi-Oh even though it's old. Then again since it's been so long I doubt they could gather all the original voices of the English dub so it wouldn't really be the same. The only ones they'd need though would be Yugi's, Yami's, Joey's, Tea's, Tristan's, Grandpa's, Kaiba's, and Bakura's. They're pretty much the originals. xD |

All right, that's enough. Time to get back on topic which is discussing this new subtitled version and the revamped subtitles in comparison to the old ones, not about whether Season ) will ever be dubbed.

I haven't watched the new subtitled version but I trust crunchyroll do a better job with the translation than the fan versions. XD |
