Atem smiled warmly at her. "You are quite welcome." He fell silent, not sure whether to bring up the state of their courting as he didn't want to mess up the moment.

The awkward silence made the princess have to adjust. She had been aware the prince was not all the way on board with the choice of the parents. Their courtship was still happening though.
Zoey looked over the script. Silently reading over it. "So the princess sings the song, the prince hears they chat. And looks like their official first kiss is supposed to happen in this scene. I bet Britt likes that scene with Atem."
"I do want to apologize for my behavior towards you when we started this courtship. I should never have been so distant." Britt said

Atem's expression softened a little. "I also apologize if I behaved inappropriately, and also if I gave you the impression my heart wasn't in it..you never should have known that."

Atem inched a bit closer to Britt and lightly cupped her chin. "May I?" he asked, wanting to be sure it was all right with her if he did start showing affection.

"you may." Britt said to him, she looked into his eyes the entire time. This brought memories back of when they're first kiss happened at the school.

Atem smiled, then wrapped his arms around his girlfriend and pressed his lips to hers, kissing her softly. He knew he would have to control himself somewhat then.

Britt kissed him back, the feeling of her boyfriend kissing her made her happy and she didn't even take the time to look at their admirers.
-a little later in the play-
Britt was being put in her princess wedding dress by Tanya as they had taken an intermission. "Wow you look great." Tanya said.
"Thanks." Britt said as she looked in the mirror. She knew it wasn't the dress she was hiding from Atem but it worked for the play. So she followed this part as written where she was to make believe of walking down an aisle and standing beside him. Even though it was for the play she went along with it that she was glad Zoey stepped in for the priest part as this was the part that made her a bit nervous. She could feel glares though and knew it was coming from the girls that crushed on Atem. She didn't give them a second thought knowing that their attempts were futile she was his choice as his girlfriend not them.

Atem felt the glares as well, but merely ignored them, figuring the girls would give up sooner or later. ' I won't allow any harm to come to Britt, no matter what.' He looked surprised seeing her wardrobe, whispering to her, "You look beautiful. "

Britt tried to stay in character but she couldn't help but smile at him, sure it wasn't the dress she was keeping secret for the day they would really get married but it was one that her friend designed to match such dresses of the past. "thank you." She whispered.
Zoey walked over doing the ceremony as she couldn't help smiling at them knowing this had to bring some memories back to them but once this scene was over she knew Britt had a surprise up her sleeve so she left the two for a dance to end the play.
