I watched this movie on an online anime site..not much for going to the cinema..anyway, I really loved it..probably my favorite next to Bonds Beyond Time..filled with action and liked seeing what the YGO cast was up to.The villain was interesting for the most part..it was funny when Yugi got feisty with Kaiba and when Kaiba said he was tired of Diva/Aigami's laugh..though there were instances he was just being Kaiba I can see he had matured some, and I am pleased to see he maintained the warm feelings he had developed towards Yugi and co over the course of the series. My heart literally melted when he said Yugi had his bond with Atem and he had his..of course, I loved seeing Atem again..but is it me, or did the movie seem incomplete from the way it ended?

I also saw it online since I don't live in the US or Canada and I don't know if my country will ever release it in theaters (on March they're releasing a Sword Art Online movie at a local cinema chain so here's to hoping it does ). Definitely my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! movie, followed by Bonds Beyond Time. I loved seeing Yugi being more mature (his eyes were less round) and fighting against Diva and Kaiba. I also liked seeing the gang graduate and Téa going to study abroad as part of her dream to be a dancer. Aigami/Diva himself was interesting and his cubic monster form after being corrupted by the Millennium Ring was really horrifying. Speaking of which, Yami Bakura possessing 4-year-old Ryou was both creepy and adorable. Kaiba had some funny lines (You fight me with fruit?!) and his motivation to see Atem and duel him again made me empathize with him as someone who was sad to see Atem leave to the afterlife. Atem's appearance was epic and I loved that he summoned Mahad to beat Diva. About the final scene, my take is that Kazuki Takahashi decided to give the movie an open ending for the fans to reach their own conclusions, make their own headcanons, etc. Though I definitely would have liked to see that duel between Kaiba and Atem.

I've seen some GIFs and screencaps from the last scenes. Atem is simply gorgeous. I know it probably won't happen, but I really wish Takahashi would allow Atem to return in his own body and duel both Kaiba and Yugi, showing who the true King of Games is.

OMG I just learned that the movie will be shown in theaters in my country the last two weekends of April. The sad news is that there seems to be issues with the dubbing studio and so it seems that the movie might be shown subtitled. It truly would be a shame since seeing this movie in the dub which I grew up with would be marvelous but even if it ends up being shown subtitled I need to see it in a huge screen so I need to plan accordingly and convince my family to let me see it by myself since none of them would want to see it. EDIT: Sigh, I read more about the issue and it seems that the dubbing studio is a cheapskate that couldn't come to an agreement with the original voice actors and decided to just hire new voice actors to show the movie dubbed instead of just showing it subtitled which would have been the better option (after all, the only people who would be interested in watching this movie in my country would be fans who grew up with the original voice actors or who later just watched the show subbed to avoid the 4Kids censorship) so now I'm having some serious second thoughts. 2nd EDIT: It's been confirmed that the company that's bringing the movie to my country is a cheapskate and wouldn't pay the original voice actors what they asked for to reprise their YGO roles and instead of doing the decent thing of showing the Japanese version or at the very least the English dub version with subtitles they just hired other people to dub the movie so I'm going to vote with my wallet and boycott this release in favor of the American dvd/bluray whenever it comes out. It's not fair because the Dragon Ball Z movies (Battle of the Gods and Resurrection 'F') were able to be dubbed with the original voice actors but YGO didn't get that chance. 3rd EDIT: And the controversy keeps on growing. Now it turns out that the company that brought DSoD is so cheap that they not only refused to pay the original voice actors what was fair, but they also didn't even bother to hire a professional translator for the movie and just copypasted the nonprofit work of a fansub group. Truly shameful.

That really sucks. These dubbing companies only care about the bottom line. The American dub was pretty good. It was nice to hear Dan Green voice Yugi and Atem one last time.
