1. Fics must be in English.
2. NO non-canon yaoi or yuri, especially when evidence in the fandom shows otherwise. I'll let it slide for characters whose orientation is ambiguous, but other than that, NO.
3.Absolutely NO MSTs are permitted. The site is to build up, not tear down so if you have a problem with an author's fic, either kindly tell them about the flaws or refrain from reading.
4.NO hate fics allowed. Regardless of how you feel about a canon character, they are not yours to do with as you please. Also no fics that involve stereotypes unless it is a parody or a spoof and even those must be done in good taste.
5. PLEASE proofread fics before posting.
6. Plagiarism will NOT be tolerated. If you post someone else's work, be sure to credit the original author. Failure to do this will result in the work being deleted and banning of the offending author.
7.NO inappropriate pairings..this includes anything that falls under the category of incest or pedophilia (to minimize confusion, pedophilia is any pairing where a pre-adolescent is involved with someone of legal age or an adolescent paired with someone old enough to be a parent/grandparent.)
8.Put your fics in the correct board.
9.No flaming someone's choice of reference in fanfiction (musician, restaurant, author, etc.)
10. Trolling or flaming someone's work will not be tolerated.
11.Highest rating for fics allowed is rated T/PG-13, which means any adult rated fics are absolutely prohibited. (credit Proboards TOS for this rule, so it's not because i hate them)
12. NO misrated fics.
13. NO animal/human pairings.
14. No writing about an author's original character in your fanfictions without their permission and you must also give credit to that author even if you are given permission.
15. Please include disclaimers/author's notes in your fic and warnings (whether the fic is AU,character doesn't follow their canon selves,etc.)..that way people won't be tricked into reading something that may not be their cup of tea.
16. In line with #10, there is a difference between downright flaming and giving advice..if someone genuinely wants to help you and so they tell you what they like about your work and point out something that needs work, at least listen to them, whether you want to take it to heart or not..do not lash out at them. However, you are NOT to dictate to anyone which continuity they should follow.
17. In line with #16, understand that the writer isn't obligated to take your advice, even if you mean well, so shoving it down his/her throat will do more harm than good. In that regard, just steer clear of the work.
