Chapter 1
Info: Sailor Moon redub style fanfiction. Told as my version of the story. I don't yet have info on the fanfic itself but I'll think of one later.
Pairings are as follows: KunzitexOC, UsagixMamoru, NephritexNaru, RubeusxOC and ChibiusaxHelios
“We’re moving? You got to be kidding me! What about all my friends here!?” Cried a young teenage girl of 14 years old. She had long black pigtails going to the length of her shoulders and blue eyes. She was currently arguing with her mother. Well, the woman wasn't really her mother. She’d lost her real parents when she was only five years old, too young to remember them.
“Sakura, you’re the one moving actually. I’m sorry dear. I can no longer afford to feed us both. Good news though, I found your brother. His name’s Mamoru Chiba. He lives in Tokyo, apparently alone. I already contacted him. He’ll be waiting to pick you up at the bus station.”
“What! You’re abandoning me!” Sakura yelled in frustration. A few tears fell from her eyes. Sure, she wasn't the brightest student around. Actually, scratch that. Her grades were terrible. But she was a good person and didn't deserve this right? Plus, to top it off, she was being sent to live with some boy she didn't even know. So what if they were related! He was still a stranger to her.
“Sakura honey, I have no choice. I’m doing what’s best for you,” the woman told her.
“Ya right! Heard that before,” Sakura grunted before turning and going into her room to pack her things. She didn't have much on her to pack. This wasn't the first time this had happened after all. Ever since she lost her parents she’d been sent back and forth to different homes. Seems no one ever wanted to keep her. Eventually she’d either get sent to another home or put back into the orphanage. ‘This Mamoru Chiba’s no different! He’ll abandon me like all the rest of them!’
She didn't know it, but the man was three years older than her and would never do that. At this moment said man was a bit nervous about meeting her as well. A sister he’d never even remembered having was on her way to meet him. He’d thought his whole family had been killed in that car crash and he was the only one who survived the crash. He didn't even remember his sister having been in the car at the time.
“Perhaps she wasn't. Which means maybe she knows something about our past,” Mamoru thought to himself. He had no idea how wrong he was. He didn't know this, but Sakura wouldn't be able to remember anything, being too young at the time to have remembered anything. He was also lucky he’d gotten hold of an apartment with two bedrooms. He was currently rearranging his stuff, throwing away things he no longer needed to make room for Sakura. He didn't know her, but the letter he’d been sent had her name and a picture to go with it. So, he knew her name and what she looked like. That would make it easier to find her when he went to pick her up at the bus station.
He looked at the time. It was currently 6:00PM. “I guess I’ll take a break now.” However, just as he was heading into his bathroom he got another one of his awful headaches he’d been getting for a long time now. “Not again!” He gasped, holding his head in pain. He didn't understand these odd headaches he’d been having. All he knew was that when they came on he’d black out and find out he’d gone out somewhere but never could remember how or why he was there. Like all the other times he blacked out and unknown to him, turned into a man called Tuxedo Mask.
He ran from the building and down the street until he got where he needed to be. Sailor Moon was frozen in a block of ice. He took out one of his roses and threw it at the ice block, freeing the blond. She looked over at him, blushing, “Thank you Tuxedo Mask.”
“Finish her Sailor Moon,” he told her.
“Right!” Sailor Moon took off her tiara and cried out, “Moon Tiara Action!” It hit the monster, turning it into dust in an instant. “Yey! I did it Tuxedo…huh? He’s gone.” Once again, Tuxedo Mask had rescued her, then just vanished. She wished he’d stayed around a bit longer.
“That was awesome work Sailor Moon,” commented a black cat called Luna, walking up to her. The girl nodded as she turned back into her normal form, a girl called Usagi Tsukino. She was a junior high school student of 14 years old. She went to Juuban Middle School. Her grades were always very bad and she was always late for school. Usagi always fixed her hair up in the same style every day. Two high buns with hair hanging down. She wore the school uniform and had bright blue eyes.
“Now let’s get home. I’m tired,” Usagi yawned. She turned and walked away from the scene, Luna right behind her.
The next morning, Sakura was getting off the bus, suitcase in hand. She yawned big. She hadn't had much of a chance to get much sleep in that morning. She’d been rushed to get ready and leave before the sun was even up. She then looked around the station, “Hmm, now where’s this Mamoru Chiba?” As she was walking around though she walked right into someone, falling flat onto her ass, “Hey! Why don’t you watch where you’re going!”
The man she ran into helped her to her feet, “You bump into me and you have the nerve to…” the man gasped as he took a good look at her, “You, you’re Sakura aren't you?”
“Ya, what’s it to you?” She glared.
“Sakura, it’s me, your brother. I’m Mamoru Chiba,” he told her.
She got a good look at him, “You’re my brother?” Inside she was thinking, ‘Wow! He’s hot! Rude and arrangent. But hot! If he wasn't my brother…’ she mentally slapped herself, ‘Get it together Sakura! There’s no time for that sort of thing! You’re in middle school.’
“Here, I’ll carry that for you.” Mamoru took the suitcase from Sakura’s hands and led her to his car. As soon as she was in, her suitcase in the back seat he got in the driver’s seat and the two headed off to his apartment.
Sakura was quiet during the whole way there. She barely noticed him talking to her. However, when he mentioned the school she’d be going to she turned to him, “I bet it’s just like any other school.”
“You seem awfully quiet. I understand. It’ll take you awhile to get used to everything around here. I realize, even though we’re siblings we don’t really know each other. Take all the time you need. I’m in no rush,” he told her.
“Ya, sure. I’ve heard that story before. You’ll just abandon me like all the other millions of homes I’ve been to,” the girl sighed.
“Oh, is that what you’re worried about? I promise, I’d never do that. Not to my own sister. I understand you've had it rough all this time, but not everyone is like that. After the accident that took our parents I couldn't remember a thing. I’m not even sure my name is Mamoru Chiba. That was the name they gave me at the hospital,” he told her.
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” Sakura felt a few tears flowing out of her eyes. She started thinking, maybe she’d gotten the wrong idea about this guy. After all, there’s nothing worse than not knowing who you are, “I can’t remember anything either. I was told I was only five years old when I was found. I wasn't in the car, at least I don’t think I was. But I was too young to remember anything.”
“Oh, that’s too bad.” Mamoru pulled up to the apartment complex and the two of them went up to his apartment. He unlocked the door and they both went inside. “It’s not much but make yourself at home.” He turned on the lights. He showed her, her room, “Need any help settling in?”
“Oh! No thanks, I’m fine,” she told him.
Mamoru finally noticed how small her suitcase was, “Is that all you have?”
She turned to him, “Yes, I don’t have much. I was always pushed back and forth to different homes. There was no time to even get settled in before I had to move again. No one ever wanted me. It’s because of that why I don’t trust people.”
“I understand how you feel. I was never adopted myself. I stayed in the orphanage until I was old enough to get a job and I moved out, into this place here.”
“That’s too bad,” she told him. Seemed the two had a lot in common. Perhaps she could trust him after all. She unpacked her few things into the drawers and went back into the living room, sitting next to her brother on the sofa. The two of them spent the rest of the day talking, getting to know each other. Tomorrow Sakura would be starting a new school where she hoped this time she’d get to know some of the people there, now knowing that Mamoru would never abandon her. The two had too much in common after all. So, that night, she washed up and went to bed, preparing herself for school the next day.
“We’re moving? You got to be kidding me! What about all my friends here!?” Cried a young teenage girl of 14 years old. She had long black pigtails going to the length of her shoulders and blue eyes.
