Info: A short InuYasha drabble. It's about my self insert that's from our world and ends up in the InuYasha realm. In this, I've watched the show so I know that Rin's getting ready to be pulled into the underworld and temporary die. So, what do I do? I push Rin out of the way just in time and get taken instead. Sesshomaru is devastated when he can't use Tenseiga to bring me back to life and finds out from his mother he can't bring me back cause he already did once before. My life flashes before Sesshomaru's eyes. All the times I've been so loyal, faithful and understanding and always been there for him. Because of me, Sesshomaru shows emotion for the first time and cries while holding me in his arms.
We were all visiting Sesshomaru's mother. Me, Rin and Kohaku were sitting back and watching Sesshomaru trying to learn how to master the Meidō Zangetsuha with the Tenseiga. 'Wait! We're at Lord Sesshomaru's mother's castle and he's trying to master the Meidō Zangetsuha! Oh dear! This is when Rin dies. I can't let her go through that.'
"Wait ago my lord. It seems you're getting it," Rin cheered.
Just as a strong wind built up I yelled out to the girl, "Rin watch out!" I pushed her out of the way just in time as I was carried up by the wind pressure and into the underworld. I cried out as I vanished into the darkness. Kohaku had been dragged in with me.
"Oh no! Lady Stephanie! Kohaku!" Rin cried out in a panicked voice.
Sesshomaru had a shocked look on his face after seeing the woman be dragged into the underworld. He ran up to the opening. He knew he had to get in there before it closed. He needed to rescue both the woman and the boy. "Are you really going in there Sesshomaru?" His mother questioned him. "You do realize you may not make it back right?"
Sesshomaru looked at her, "I have to mother." He then turned and ran into the darkness, without another word. When he found the two of them, Kohaku was leaning down next to me, trying to wake me up. He shook me and shook me, but I didn't respond at all. "What happened?"
"Lord Sesshomaru. This is the underworld. Humans can't survive down here. I'm only alive cause I've had the training to handle it. But Stephanie hasn't. I think she's dead," Kohaku explained.
"Stand back," said Sesshomaru. Kohaku moved out of the way and Sesshomaru pulled out the Tenseiga, getting ready to bring me back from the dead. "I can't see the beings of the underworld."
"Lord Sesshomaru, it could be because we're in the underworld. I'm sure it'll work after we get out," Kohaku stated. Sesshomaru nodded. He went to pick me up but a hole opened up in the ground and I fell through. Sesshomaru's eyes went wide in fear, he and Kohaku jumped into the opening after me.
'I can't let you go! Ever since you came into my life, things have felt so much more cheerful. That time when you got sent back to your world I was scared I'd never see you again. I'm not losing you now!' Sesshomaru yelled in his head. Sesshomaru found me but had to fight off a few demons. He held me very protectively as he attacked with his whip. Though holding me with only one arm and fighting at the same time with that same arm proved to be a bit hard he still managed it anyway. Kohaku also helped out a bit as well.
After all the demons were gone Sesshomaru swung Tenseiga and a portal opened, "Lord Sesshomaru it worked!" Kohaku gasped. The two of them, with Sesshomaru still holding me, made their way out of the underworld, back into the castle.
Sesshomaru then laid me on my back onto the floor and tried swinging the Tenseiga over my body, even though the creatures from the underworld still weren't appearing, "I don't understand."
"It's simple my son. Has Stephanie already died once before?" His mother asked him.
"Yes, she died protecting Rin from a demon when we first met," said Sesshomaru.
"Then that's why it won't work. I'm sorry but the Tenseiga can only bring someone back to life one time. Did you think you could play God Sesshomaru?" His mother questioned.
Sesshomaru dropped the Tenseiga down onto the floor in shock, next to my body. He fell down onto his knees in shock, leaning over me. Rin burst out into tears and Sesshomaru didn't even try to get her to stop this time. He was very devastated by this news. He put his hand gently on my cheek and mumbled, "Stephanie," in a soft voice. Suddenly my life flashed before his eyes. All the times I've stood by him no matter what he did, always defending his actions and doing everything possible to make him happy.
"What's the matter Sesshomaru? She's just a human woman," His mother asked him. "There are..." She jumped to her feet in shock when she saw tears coming from her son's eyes. He was crying! This was impossible! Sesshomaru never showed any emotions, like sadness. Yet, here he was, crying for some human. "Do you really care for her that much?" She leaned down, placing her hand on her son's shoulder in comfort.
"Yes," Sesshomaru actually answered. He pulled my body into his lap, actually holding me in a tight embrace.
"Then I'll let you use this." She took a necklace off her neck, "This will revive her, but only once. Sesshomaru this is the last time she can be brought back from the dead. If she dies again I'm afraid I won't be able to help you a second time."
"I won't let her die again," Sesshomaru promised. He allowed his mother to place the necklace around my neck. There was a moan as I woke up and looked up into Sesshomaru's eyes. He moved his arm a bit to grab my hand and squeeze it a bit in comfort as he gave me a loving look.
"Lord Sesshomaru," I moaned.
"Don't say anything," he told me. He leaned down, pressing his soft lips to mine, kissing me. The kiss was very soft and gentle. I kissed him back, loving every minute of this. We were finally together. This made me feel like the happiest girl alive and I never wanted to let go of this feeling ever again.
