Atem let out a sigh of relief that Angela had not bitten his head off and felt like a fool for just jumping to that conclusion. But then again she had reason to be up early most days whereas he didn't. "All right. I will be ready in awhile." He finished making the bed and then got his clothes to go in the bathroom so he could freshen up. He was thinking about how he got goosebumps listening to her laugh. 'Ridiculous! Why am I feeling that way when I barely know her.'
A moth was flying around in the living room. It almost landed in Angela's lap.

"Oh! Well hello there, little one." The moth fluttered around her head, clearly confused. Angela gently caught it in her hands, before going outside. "Did you get caught in here last night? I'll let you out, you must miss your friends." Being careful, she let it go and grinned when it flew off. But she didn't see it change into a woman in a white gown. Who watched Angela re-enter the house and then glared at the raven, who flew off when spotted. ~*~ Angela turned on the T.V. to see the weather report for the day while checking her purse to make sure she had everything. "...and it looks like we'll have a cloudy day today and tomorrow; temperatures will be in the 60's. With high winds at night. Be sure to bundle up." The announcer reported. Roxy gave a happy bark when she saw Atem enter the room. Angela saw Atem come in his new clothes and her heart began to hammer in her chest. "Why's my heart beating so hard? Althrough...he does look handsome-whoa! Calm down, girl." She gave him a smile, "You look nice, Atem. Ready to go?"

Atem had a pen stuck in his front shirt pocket. He felt his cheeks becoming hot over Angela's compliment. 'What on earth?' He ignored the feeling though and gave her a charming smile. "Why thank you. You look pretty stunning yourself." He stopped, listening to himself. 'What's the matter with me today??' He cleared his throat. "Yes..yes I am. Let's go." He headed towards the door and opened it. "After you."

Angela suddenly felt shy, but smiled anyway and put on her jacket; as she replied while going out the door, "Why thank you, kind sir."
The young woman waved to Roxy who sat by the door. "Bye Roxy, we'll be back."
Once the door was closed and locked, did the two get in Angela's car and take off.
"Chris, the man who owns the cafe, and my Godpa go way back." Angela explained, as she drove. "They were in the army together. Chris opened the cafe when I was in middle school and it's quite the hot spot for school kids." She chuckled. "It gets crowded in the summer." Angela looked at her passenger. "And Chris is a wonderful person...I think you'll like him. But enough about me, tell me about yourself Atem."

Atem looked taken aback, not sure how to answer. There was so much he could reveal, but he didn't feel comfortable just saying it without providing proof. Not to mention there were things he didn't want to ever tell her about himself because he was afraid of scaring her away. "As much as I would like to tell you, if I did, you may consider me insane, so I prefer to just show you when we arrive at the museum." He then thought of something he could say, feeling like he was just rude. "What I can say for now is that besides the fact that I am Egyptian, I have a passion for Duel Monsters. That's all I can say for now. "

Angela considered his answer, before nodding. "My Godpa says that 'Every man has his story to tell'. I feel that your story will quite the one for the ages." She paused a moment to let him absorb what she said. "Now Duel Monsters...that's something we have in common. I play with kids at work. I must say I favor the forest, beasts, and fairy types myself. The children say I pack quite a punch-Ah! Here we are."
She pulled up to a small building that was made of brick with a blue door. After she locked the car did they go in.

As Atem entered the cafe, he was thinking about how he would have to show Angela his dueling deck sometime. 'Perhaps she and I can have a friendly duel.' He was undaunted by she said the children thought of her skills because he was also someone who could be unstoppable at his best, and if he did duel her, he was not about to go easy on her either. A waiter was standing near the exit. He greeted them with a smile. "Good morning. I see you have returned, Angela, and you have brought a young man with you. Is it just the two of you?"
"Correct," confirmed Atem.
"Well go right inside to the table by the window and someone should be right with you shortly."
Atem nodded and walked over to the table the waiter had mentioned, making sure to keep his pace slow for Angela's sake, guiding her to one side and sitting in the other seat.

The inside of the cafe was a mix of Irish Renaissance and modern day...which pulled off quite well.
The tables and chairs were dark wood with green table cloths, there were a few shields and Celtic designs/trinkets on the walls. Many people were sitting at some tables either talking or talking/playing games on phones. Other just ordered at the counter and left for work. The floor was made of cobble stone, as was the counter with a marble top, and the lamps over head had iron fairies around the frames. Some stone fairies were by the entrance/exit as well.
"It's good to be back." Angela commented, smiling. "Feels like I've been gone forever."
A waiter came over with two small menus. "Good morning, and welcome to Faye's. I'm Susan, and I'll be taking care of you today. Can I get you anything to drink to start?"
"I'll have a Hot Chocolate, please. What about you, Atem?"

Atem took a quick glance at the menu and then at Susan, as he didn't want to come off as standoffish. "A cup of tea will do. Milk, please, hold the sugar." He decided a muffin would have enough sugar in it for him. He closed the menu, showing he was done looking at it.

"You got it." Susan said, while taking the menu from Atem. "I'll be right back with your drinks."
"Can you tell the manager that an old friend is here to see him?" Angela asked.
Susan winked. "Of course."
As the female waiter left, Angela looked at the menu again. "Everything looks so good today...I think I'm going to get an Peach Turnover. I haven't had one in a long time, and Chris makes the best."
"Someone say my name?"
Angela turned to the voice to see an old man, 60 or 70, with an olive skin tone and black hair walking up to them. He was dressed in a purple polo shirt and beige slacks.
Angela jumped from her seat and hugged him. "Chris! It's so good to see you!"
"Likewise kiddo." The elder man laughed. "Seems like ages have gone by. And you're becoming quite the swan."
"Oh hush!" She exclaimed, a blush dusting her cheeks. She cleared her throat, "Chris? This is Atem, he's staying with me for a while."
Chris held out his hand. "Pleasure to meet you, young man. Hope you've been taking care of my friend's gem of a girl."

Atem instantly felt at ease with Angela's friend, just from listening to their interactions with each other. He took the old man's hand and shook it firmly. "It's a pleasure to meet you, sir." He almost pointed out that he was much older than he looked, but he didn't want Chris thinking he was nuts. He chuckled a little. "Yes I am, every chance I can. It is the least I can do after all she has done for me. " He didn't want to put her on the spot by saying how much she rejected his wanting to repay her. He was still going to do it regardless of her objections. He never believed in just taking.

Angela sat back down. "Any spiecals today, Chris?"
The elder grinned. "Well, we have fresh Gingerbread and a Berry Coffee Cake; with Blueberries and Cranberries fresh from the oven."
"Oh geez...I'm not sure which to choose." Angela said, giggling.
Susan came back with their drinks. "Here we are; one tea with milk and no sugar...and one Hot chocolate." She then straightened. "Have you decided on what to have?"
Angela looked at Atem, "You go first Atem. I still need to think a minute."

"Thank you..to you both," Atem told Angela and Susan. His brow wrinkled in thought as he had heard what the specials were. 'Interesting.' He had initially decided on a muffin with chocolate chips, but he was contemplating changing his mind and getting the special. Truth was, he wasn't quite ready to decide but he didn't want to make Susan impatient with him so he quickly made up his mind. He turned to face Susan. "I would like today's special, Berry Coffee Cake." Something told him he would not regret taking a chance with it.

Susan grinned and wrote it down. "Okay, and you miss?"
Angela nodded, "I'll have the same. I do love berries." She blushed at the last part.
Chris laughed and patted her shoulder as Susan left. "You haven't changed a bit." then to them both, "I've got to get back to the kitchen, have a good time kay?"
"I'm sure we will." Angela replied, before waving as Chris left.
Susan came back with their order, as well as a plate of butter and jam. "Here ya go, guys. Enjoy."
Angela thanked her and took a bite. "Mmm. This is so good. What do you think Atem?"

Atem thanked Susan as well and then eyed the pastry on his plate. He chuckled at how Angela was so eager to know how he liked it when he hadn't even started eating yet. "Now now, you would do well to know patience is a is a virtue," he wisely told her, giving her an amused look. "You will know soon enough." He picked up the fork and poked at the cake before taking a bite, chewing slowly as he made an Mmmm sound of approval. He continued to eat slowly and before he knew it, the plate was empty. He made sure he didn't have any crumbs on his face and outfit. "Very tasty," he finally told Angela.
