This is my second favorite saga next to Battle City. I loved seeing the Ishtars appear again and I loved seeing Atem's life as a pharaoh. On the other hand though it was bittersweet because of that feeling I always get when seeing a final episode of a series..excited to see how it'll end but sad because there won't be any more episodes to look forward to..not to mention saying goodbye to the characters you grow attached to. And listening to everyone's farewell speeches to Atem at the end left me feeling choked up. Have to admit though it was a good way to make the series seem complete and like it went somewhere. Still though I do tend to feel good to have a look at Atem whenever he appears in original continuities that isn't part of the original Duel Monsters fandom.

All I gotta say is that Bakura looks massively hot in that black trenchcoat. XD And that the arc was very different from the manga.

I liked this season because it was about Ancient Egypt and about Atem when he was pharaoh. Also because it gave us many origin stories like that of the Dark Magician/Mahad, the Blue Eyes White Dragon/Kisara, the Millennium Items, etc. On the other hand, the Ceremonial Duel makes me feel sad because Atem leaves but also proud of Yugi because he inherits his legacy as King of Games.

I loved seeing Atem as a Pharaoh and knowing that he would finally regain his memories.
I hated the ending because I didn't think Yugi should beat Atem. I certainly didn't want him to go to the afterlife. I'd have ended it with them tying in the duel and Atem gaining a body and staying in Japan with Yugi and the others.
