Note: I am defining these based on my understandings from reading different glossaries as well as my experiences.
AU-stands for alternate/alternative universe: Any RPG where the settings, relationship and storylines are different from the canon setting, on purpose.
OOC: Out of Character- Can be used two ways, either for when the players are conversing with each other, usually in parentheses, or if a character says/does something that is not the norm for them. It can be mild or they can do things that are TOTALLY against their principles/personality.
IC: In Character: When players are back to speaking as the character, or if the character is portrayed accurately to how they are in the fandom.
Godmodding/Powerplaying: basically having characters that are invincible, all-knowing or as perfect as a god, killing a person's character without consent, or playing someone else's character (unless the players are sharing the role.) It is one of the greatest offenses in all of roleplay as it is unfair play, inconsiderate and shows the guilty party wants total control of the RPG.
Mary-Sue: This is mostly used with the OCs. They tend to be invincible, 100% perfect characters that are loved by all the canon characters, or has unrealistic flaws. Basically an unbalanced character, and applies to females.
Gary Stu: same as Mary Sue, except it applies to male characters.
OC: Original Character-a fictional character that is of the player's creation.
If I think of more I will add them.
