Atem had started to stir the soup when he felt Arabella rubbing against him. "I've realized that," was all he had said. He peered down and gave a hint of a smile before stirring his soup some more. Soon the sauce was as thick as he liked it, he carried thee container the table, resting it where he placed his water. He sat down, hoping and praying he'd able to just have a quick and peaceful dinner without being bothered.

Angela bit her lip, and made some soup for her and Dr. John. "Maybe after a while, we can talk a bit..." She thought.

Atem eyed his bowl of noodles, seeing it was still steaming hot and knew it was wise to wait lest he would be sorry. He quite frankly wasn't in the mood for anyone's pity to begin with. He poured some of the water in his glass, taking a small sip.
A termite flew above Angela, about to land on her head.

Angela finished putting the soup into bowls, and turned suddenly to grab the pepper to add to Dr. John's portion; as he liked his that way. The termite missed her head and landed on her shoulder instead. Unnoticed...for now.

Atem didn't seem to notice anything remiss. His mind drifted towards the Ishtar family for the second time that day. 'Perhaps if they visit, I may go back with them..some time away would do me some good at this rate.' He took another small sip of water, trying to push those thoughts to the back of his mind until he was ready to make a decision.

Angela sat across from Atem, and started to eat her soup. A part of her wished she could go back in time and fix what had led up to his point...for she truly loved the pharaoh. Ever since they first met, he had set off a spark in her soul. "I'd give up my life to make Atem happy...I would! Can't anyone help us...?"
It was at that point, that the termite decided to crawl onto Angela's collar bone...upon feeling the insect, she looked down and flicked it off with a mental grimace.

Atem peered down at his bowl of noodles and saw that the steam wasn't rising as much, which was good as it meant it had cooled enough. He picked up his utensil to test the soup, only to realize he wasn't very hungry at all. He had the strongest urge to push the bowl away and call it a night, but didn't want to raise questions. 'Besides, there is no telling how long this power outage will last and it would be a shame to let it go to waste..I just hope I won't pay for forcing it.' Heaving a light sigh, he took a bite of the soup. 'This is far too complicated..perhaps I should have remained in the afterlife and not bargain with Ra..at least I would have still had my family, court and Mana.' He was beginning to feel light fatigue, but shrugged it off, continuing to eat.

Angela felt her body want to explode from all the tension in the air...it was choking her. She had her a bit more of her soup. "Maybe we shouldn't have jumped to courting each other...but all I think about is how much he means to me." The young woman bit her lip. "What can we do? Hmm...maybe I should call Yugi. He knows Atem better than anyone...perhaps he'd give me some advice." She decided to do it when the outage passed, and in the attic where it was private.

Atem ate as much as he could, leaving behind just a bit of gravy. He drank the remainder of his water before deciding he was full. He rather lazily got up, grabbed his dishes and took them to the sink. He cleaned them a bit before putting them inside the dishwasher to be cleaned whenever the electricity was back on, then turned to face Angela. "I'll be turning in now and I also intend to sleep in tomorrow."

Angela nodded, with a gentle smile. "Okay. Sleep well, beloved."

A part of him had the urge to remark something that sounded like, "I'm certain I will, for you interrupted my rest" but thought better of it. Instead he just nodded lightly and disappeared to his bedroom, shutting the door and locking it.

Once Angela brought Dr. John his soup, and cleaned up the kitchen...did she go into the attic with her phone. It was private up there, so nobody would hear her conversation with Yugi. She shut the door behind her, and sat against the wall before dialing Yugi's number. "I hope he's not too busy..."

Yugi had just finished washing the dishes and was about to go do some reading for whenever school opened back up when he heard his cell phone ringing. He pulled the phone out of his pocket and answered. "Hello? This is Yugi speaking."

"Hello, Yugi. It's Angela...is-is this a good time?" Angela asked, while twisting the hem of her shirt. "If it is I can call back..."

Yugi frowned a little before responding, "Oh hey Angela. No, it's fine..I was about to go read but I can wait until tomorrow...what's up? Is something wrong?"
