The girls went inside to finish unpacking, Joey looked at Yugi "yeah we can head back." he said, he started walking with Yugi as he was thinking. "Yugi, they're nice. I know the subject of Egypt is not easy with you. We all know this isn't what Atem would of wanted.." He said but a smile came to his face. "But If he was here, he'd probably want to be friends with them." Joey had other theories he didn't discuss but with Atem in the after life he let it go.

Yugi followed Joey with his head bowed down and looking forlorn. He barely heard what the blonde had said.His head snapped up and he nodded in agreement. "Yes I agree. I have taken a liking to those girls and you're right that Atem would have, too." He wondered if he should smooth things over with Britt next time he saw her. He didn't want her to think his sudden change in mood was her fault.

Joey knew this was a lot to take in mind, He looked over at his best friend "Yugi, in some ways you're not the only one going through the loss of missing Atem. We all miss him and being able to talk with him." Joey said as he wanted Yugi to know he wasn't alone.

Yugi let out a sigh. He definitely remembered how hard some of his friends were taking Atem's journey into the afterlife, especially Tèa, but he doubted they would fully be able to relate, since his bond with Atem was a lot deeper than most people would be able to comprehend. "I know, and I appreciate you guys being there for me, but it's more than that...I just feel like a part of me is missing."

"We have to stay hopeful, as much as we want him to come back it may not be possible." He said as he walked with Yugi back to the game shop. He knew too well that Yugi had a stronger bond with Atem from sharing a body with Atem.

"I know." That was one of the thing what made Yugi despair the most, wishing he could have stayed.It was times like this he wished he hadn't defeated him in the Ceremonial Battle or even have to partake in it.Even Atem being able to remain and having his own body would have made him happy. 'Get a grip on yourself.If Atem could see you right now,' he mentally chided himself, disgusted that he had such selfish thoughts and not considering what was best for his alter-ego.

Joey put a hand on his shoulder "Yugi, for now let's just try to look toward the future." He said knowing that they had to finish their algebra homework before school started. They had tomorrow to tell the others about the girls they met before they started at their school.

Yugi seemed to perk up a bit. "You're right. Atem would want me to move on.." He continued the walk home in silence, making sure Joey was close by.

Joey never left his best friend's side "yeah Atem wouldn't want you to be upset." He said to Yugi in trying to make him feel better.

"I know. I imagine he would think I'm so weak if he could see me right now." Soon, he spotted the house. All he wanted to do is get inside and start the homework and take his mind off of Atem since he would never see him again, not even on that day he dies.

Joey walked up to the house with Yugi, he didn't say much at that point knowing that it wasn't what Yugi needed right now. He just was going to wait until later to talk more about this subject so it didn't upset him.

Yugi took out his keys and unlocked the door, opening it and stepping inside. He held the door open so Joey could come in as well. From the looks of things, Mr. Mutou was still at the card shop. ' Looks like we got here with plenty time to spare.'

Joey walked in and sat at the table as he grabbed his Algebra book so he could do his algebra homework with his best friend. "Well we can get this done so we don't fail the class." He said

After locking up the door, Yugi grabbed his book from the couch and sat at the table with Joey. "Yes, for sure. Grandpa would blow a gasket if I flunked Math." He could just imagine the scenario of no playing card games for a long time, no having friends over and other probations. He turned to the assigned page. "Ready?"

"Ready" Joey said as he also had the assigned page open, he did have a slight struggle with math but he never told his friends that. He looked over the page as he was really seeming to be lost on all the equations.
