"I play Big Shield Gardna in defense mode, then I attack your God Slime with Obelisk," said Yami.

"I told you it was different," Yami Marik laughed, as his Egyptian God Slime reformed. "My Egyptian God Slime now has the powers of your God Card and Revivial Jam. It can't be destroyed. It's the ultimate defense. This was my plan the whole time, and you fell for it! How naive of you." What! This was bad. What would Yami do now?

"Yugi will find a way to beat that thing," says Joey.

"I end my turn," Yami ended his turn, realizing he had no choice as there wasn't anything he could do right now.

"It's over, all you can do now is wait for the Winged Dragon of Ra to return and crush you," Yami Marik draws. "I sat one card face down and play Boganian in defense mode. As long as this monster remains on the field you will lose 300 life points every turn. That ends my turn, for now."

"I sat one card face down and sacrifice Big Shield Gardna to summon Dark Magician Girl," informed Yami. "Now I attack your Boganian with Dark Magician Girl!"

"I activate my trap card! Jam Defender! It redirects your attack towards my God Slime. As long as Jam Defender is in play this will happen every time you attack," Yami Marik explained. Oh no! It was a permanent trap! "And that's not all. Since your attack failed, you lose 1,000 life points." Yugi cried out in pain. Boganian's effect also takes 300 life points from him. A lot of Yugi's body was already gone into the shadows now.

"Oh no!" Yami gasps.

"Don't worry! I'm fine," says Yugi. But for how long?

"Seems the shadows are feasting on little Yugi. Soon he'll be gone," Yami Marik laughed.

"Ha! That won't save him now. I've just drawn the card I need, Mining for Magical Stones! What I do is I discard two cards, allowing me to transfer a magic card from my graveyard to my hand. And the card I choose, of course it's Monster Reborn," Yami Marik laughed. Oh no! This was bad! Ra was coming back onto the field. "In one turn I'll bring back the Winged Dragon of Ra."

'I thought so! But there's one more way I can win. But it won't be easy. I need to draw the right cards for the job,' Yami thought. "I'll break through your defenses Marik! And I'll also save your good side!"

"Didn't I already tell you this? Forget about him! You can't save him no more than you can save little Yugi. You already failed Alison. Now you're about to fail little Yugi as well," Yami Marik told him.

Both Yugi and Yami were talking in Yugi's mind, "Pharaoh, I have an idea. You know how Marik fused with Ra? I think he's planning on doing that again. However, then he also becomes a monster himself, giving him all the weaknesses of a monster."

"You're right Yugi. This means if we destroy Ra we destroy Marik's evil side, freeing his good side. We just need to draw the right card to do it," Yami explained. The pharaoh then turned back to the duel, "I sit two cards face down and summon Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts in defense mode and end end my turn."

"But now Pharaoh, Boganian takes 300 more life points. Say goodbye to some more of your little friend," Yami Marik pointed out.

"Yugi, I won't let you slip away," Yami assured him.

"You don't have much choice. In just a few more moves Yugi will be gone," said Yami Marik.

"I'm really not liking that smirk on his face," Duke pointed out, as he watched Yami Marik draw and he was smirking as he drew.

"I'll send what's left of Yugi to the shadow realm with this! First, I gain 1,000 life points back from Spike Lizard's effect. Then I activate Monster Reborn to bring back Ra in its Phoenix form," Yami Marik smirked evilly. "Next, I pay 1,000 life points to activate Ra's special ability and have him destroy Obelisk."

"Not after I activate this card!" Yami flips over a card.

"What! Slifer the Sky Dragon!" Yami Marik was shocked when Slifer appeared on the field, blocking the attack for Obelisk.

"I activated Monster Reborn and brought back Slifer just in the nick of time," Yami explained.

"Looks like Yugi lucked out," Kaiba says, 'If he's smart he'll tap into the true power of Obelisk. At this point, it's his only hope.'

Kaiba just ignored her as he watched the duel. He was very focused on it.

"Now, Ra goes back to the graveyard, but don't worry, he'll be back soon," said Yami Marik. "As a matter of fact, why wait at all. I play the card Surprise Attack from Beyond, which allows me to replay my attack from earlier."

"Well, that's a cheap move!" Joey cried out.

Tea looked upset, "That isn't fair!"

However, when Ra comes back it's floating in a huge sphere above the duel field, "Stand back as I recite the ancient chat. Great beast of the sky, please hear my cry. Transform thyself from orb of light and bring me victory in this fight. Envelop the desert with your glow and cast your rage upon my foe. Unlock your powers from deep within so that together we may win. Appear in this Shadow Game as I call out your name, Winged Dragon of Ra!" Ra appears, "Now we'll merge again, transferring all but one of my life points to Ra. But that's not all. I sacifice all my monsters on the field to power up Ra to 6,899 points. It's over Pharaoh!"

"We'll see about that!" Yami cries. "I activate Soul Taker."

Kaiba gasped, "That allows him to sacrifice any monster on the field. He must be planning on sacrificing the Winged Dragon of Ra. And since Marik's fused with it, when his monster goes, so does he."

"Sorry to disapoint, but what I'm after is your unstoppable Egyptian God Slime," Yami pointed out.

"But why him? He won't help you," Yami Marik wondered.

"You're wrong about that. It's made of two monsters, so I'll be making a double sacrifice, which lets me activate Obelisk's special ability making its power infinite," Yami pointed out.

"I activate Class System. Sorry Pharaoh, Ra can only be destroyed by a monster that has more stars than it. So, your attack fails," said Yami Marik. Now Obelisk was back down to 4,000 points. "Now, let's try my attack again. Winged Dragon of Ra destroy him!"

"I activate this card, Magical Dimension! I need a spellcaster to use it and my Dark Magician Girl will do nicely. However, I must sacifice Obelisk and Gazelle in exchange for one last chance!" Yami cries.

"You were a fool to sacifice Obelisk. Without your god card you don't stand a chance! You've got nothing!" Yami Marik tells him.

"I've got plently! I got my love of my life Britt to give me courage, and the heart of the cards to give me strength. Oh, did I tell you? I can also summon any spellcaster from my hand as well. I summon my Dark Magician! Now I activate this! Behold! Ragnarok! As soon as this card's activated every card on your side of the field will be crushed! Including your Winged Dragon of Ra. And because you and Ra are fused together you will be destroyed as well!" Yami informed him.

"That may be, but the destruction of your attack will destroy what's left of my weak side," Yami Marik told him.

"NO! You're wrong! Dead wrong! Marik will crush you!" A cry came from the door as Alison walked through, weakly, barely able to stand. She was awake!

"Hello Britt," Alison grinned at her.

"What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here Alison! Look at you! You can barely stand up. Now, if you'll just stay there a bit longer you can witness my defeat of the Pharaoh and the distrustion of my weak side," Yami Marik told her.

"I don't think so! I told Marik I'd save him and that's what I'm going to do!" Alison climbed up onto the duel field and ran at Yami Marik. She climbed up the Winged Dragon of Ra, until she was right up in his face. "This belongs to Marik! Give it back!" She grabbed the Millennium Rod, trying to take it away from him.

"Get away from me fool! Or you'll regret it!" Yami Marik cried.

"Please! Marik help me! I know you can over come your dark half. After all, you created him. This means you can destroy him," Alison begged Marik. Wait! She was right! His dark side is a part of him. This meant the good Marik should be able to regain control of his body.

"I've had enough! You want the Millennium Rod then take this!" Yami Marik stabbed her in the chest with it.

"Ahhhh!" Alison cried in pain. She turned to Marik, "I believe in you... don't give up... I love you..." She then fell off Ra, onto the duel field. Was she dead? It seemed that way. This was probably the push Marik needed to regain control of his body.

"Now take this!" Yami Marik went to send her back to the shadow realm, but something was stopping him. He held his face in pain, "Aguh! What's going on!?"
