Rebel Princess and the future Pharaoh pt. 15
Jake was wondering how he would get out of this dealing with Aknadin himself right then, only he was in a tight spot so that he wasn’t sure what he was going to do. He wanted Britt so badly but he knew she loved her Prince. Unknowingly to anyone he had been followed by Hathor, Britt’s cousin who was looking out for her cousin’s well being. If Jake would to be a traitor Hathor would take him out as an enemy.
So what will be Jakey? Will you betray my cousin or will you stay on her side? Hathor said
Back in the safe base where Britt and Atem were doing their planning for the battle to take out Aknadin so the future for the people and their selves was bright. It was hard because she wanted the fight to be over to do the wedding plans instead of war plans. She’d gotten everyone to agree to leave his father alone just go after Aknadin.
This was so much easier when I was just leader. Now I have my princess duties falling back on me and my future wedding to think of and there is no time to do all this planning! Britt thought
When Atem was not looking over her shoulder to see what she was doing she was looking at dress designs her grandfather’s royal tailors had sent her. So many designs she eventually just threw them on the bed.
War first then wedding. Britt thought
Hathor had still been watching and seen that Jake was going to be a traitor. She was gonna go after him like she planned but she backed down because she knew the best person to make him pay would be the one he wanted the most Britt. She had more important matters to attend to like her Love life. Yugi was looking for his brother as he seen Hathor walk back in. He went over to her as he smiled.
“Hathor you’ve returned from your adventure outside. May I ask what were you doing?” Yugi said
“Checking on Britt’s former second in command. After all Britt trusts him as a friend but I don’t trust him at all.” Hathor said
She went up to check on her cousin after finishing her conversation with Yugi. What she didn’t notice was Yugi had a faint blush on his cheeks watching her walk away. When she walked up the stairs she noticed her cousin’s chambers were still open slightly and she couldn’t help wondering what she was doing at this moment.
Is she planning our next move or is she doing something else with her lover? Hathor thought
She walked close to the door and took a peek in the part of the door that was open. Inside she could see Britt standing over her map of the part of Egypt they were planning the attack.
Well she looks like she’s looking to the plan…. wait a minute! Hathor thought
Something seemed odd about the situation like a cloaking spell to make it seem like Britt was looking over the plan. She knew a few spells herself and used one to make it to where she could use her Dragon’s eye sight to see if this was an illusion or not. She wasn’t far off when she suspected an illusion spell because with her Dragon sight she was seeing the real truth. Britt was in there but she wasn’t doing her plans for the attack at all! She was doing something more…and with her lover the prince.
Seeing this Hathor covered her eyes and looked away, it didn’t intrigue her the slightest that her cousin was a rule breaker. She worried for her cousin that a child would come of this and in the wrong time as they were going to battle soon.
If she becomes with child then what’s stopping the rest of us, I mean if she can then nothing can stop me…but grandfather will be so angry with all of us. She’ll marry the person he wanted but what is his plan for the others and me? Hathor thought
She took a trip to their home palace and saw that their grandfather wasn’t there. She went into the throne room and looked through his files to find out his plans for her. She searched through all the files finding plans for Britt then Bre and Nana. She wondered if she’d be free but when she thought that was an options but then she found a paper with her name on it. Panic started to come fast.
This has my name on it…does that mean.is this what Britt felt when she found her paper. Hathor thought
Hathor read over it seeing what it said of her grandfather’s choices. As she read it and finished through it she burned it right on the spot.
I am NOT marrying anyone out of our country! Hathor thought
She returned to the rebel hide out and walked in and at that moment when she walked in she seen Bre making out with one of their recruits with blue hair. She didn’t know what to say because it was so bold to be in public like that. She walked away going to her chambers where she resided alone, when she walked in she saw a bouquet of flowers on her bed with a note. She walked over and picked up the note.
Dearest Hathor,
I enjoy our conversation and the time we’ve shared while I’ve joined here. I know my brother and your cousin will be marrying when the battle is over. I was wondering if you’d do me the honor of letting me court you?

Hathor was shocked and more importantly stunned. She wasn’t sure what to do at that point but a decision was needing to be made. She could only imagine what her cousin would say hearing this.
She’d probably encourage me to do it…after all she is betrothed to his older brother…which I guess is why they don’t hold back. only Grandfather nor his fathers are aware of this. Hathor thought

Rebel Princess and the future King pt. 16
Britt layed there by Atem thinking of everything, she could hear him asleep behind her while his arm was around her waist. She felt comfortable but she knew they needed to set planning their attack aside for a birthday…her cousin’s 16th Birthday was upon them as of tomorrow. She sighed knowing that sixteen was the marking of a girl becoming of age and something she knew Hathor would have a problem to deal with once they were done.
If grandfather finds out we’re close to finishing our rebellion then he’ll try to take the others away. I’ll have to seek help from Atem to get them free from any betrothals. Britt thought
She removed his hand from around her waist as she got up and went to get dressed in one of her royal dresses. She took a look through her dresses choosing a purple and red one that was two pieces. She liked that she could wear what she wanted now that her people knew she would be their future Queen. When she walked down she didn’t see very many people up and she could see it was still dark.
Easier to surprise her if my sisters are still up so they can help me plan this for Hathor. She thought
Bre and Nana were still awake and seen their sister was out, they went over to her seeing that she was curious about something.
“so my dear sister, may I ask why you’re up this late?” Bre asked
Britt nod “yes, We’re gonna get the people here to help get things ready for Hathor’s coming of age.” Britt answered
Nana pouted “Hey! When is it my turn?!” Nana said
Britt sighed “not for awhile Nana, and when that day comes you will join me in my prince’s palace so you can be with the priest you seem to be eyeing a lot.” Britt said
Nana looked slightly away “I am not.” She lied but a slight blush was there on her cheeks. She did like Mahad and she was embarrassed that her sister could see that.
They recruited some people who liked Hathor, surprisingly Yugi even agreed to help out. As they planned everything Britt eventually went back to bed as she layed infront of the sleeping Atem. After she was adjusted in her bed his arm went around her waist again which she didn’t mind and went to sleep.
Morning came not long after everyone but Hathor rose not long after the sun. They didn’t bug her because Britt wanted everything perfect but that meant a lot was still to be done. Atem helped Britt with the final touches and Britt had called her grandfather’s royal baker to make some sweet treats. She specifically asked for some of Hathor’s favorites.
Hathor woke up and yawned she saw it was mid day already which seemed odd for her. She never slept this long but the others never let her either which made her wonder what was going on. When she walked downstairs she seen everyone was all crowded waiting for her. She walked to them and seen Britt walked to her first and hugged her.
“we’ll make a plan.” She whispered.
This little saying confused Hathor for a second but then she realized what that meant, the paper she’d found came to mind and she realized right then it was her birthday but this wasn’t just any birthday. It was her 16th birthday meaning a lot was going to happen. She knew now what that was meaning. She made the best of it though seeing all the effort Britt and the others put through it. She ate some of the fire cakes but she noticed her cousin seemed to be distracted.
I wonder what’s on her mind. I know she said we needed to talk but she wouldn’t say that for no reason. Hathor thought
The celebrating continued but eventually Britt stepped out to go out on the balcony of their royal base training area. Hathor walked to find her and when she found her she walked up beside her seeing she was in deep thought.
“Something troubling you dear cousin?” Hathor asked
Britt shook her head no “just thinking, you’re of age. Once the war is over your path will start away from mine. All of your paths will lead you differently in so many different directions.” She said then sighed. Hathor knew too well Britt spoke the truth on that for their destinies were not so much tangled together but on separate paths. “Promise me when you marry someone, you bring him straight to me to judge. I won’t have grandfather choosing your husband because they have to pass my inspection first.” Britt said
Hathor smiled hearing her cousin’s words knowing she was only looking for the best for her. She didn’t want to tell her about Yugi though because it wasn’t something she felt her cousin really needed to know just that she was considering it. She looked down at the ground in thought for a few minutes before she looked back up.
“let’s finish this so we all can stop hiding.” Hathor said
Britt nod as she went back to the others, she dismissed the party and let them go to their chambers. Soon though the front doors opened and Jake walked through. Hathor walked out and when she seen Jake she had a fireball in her hand throwing it near Jake’s feet. She knew too well he was a traitor but she decided now to tell her cousin of his betrayl.
“He sided with the enemy!” Hathor yelled
Jake was shocked that she would say something like that so loudly. Britt had been shocked that Hathor had thrown the fireball but once she heard Hathor she knew why.
Jake betrayed us…he really does hate me for choosing Atem over him. Britt thought
Britt went straight up to Jake and she slapped him hard across the face. Jake was stunned that she did that and put a hand on his cheek.
She doesn’t understand, I did this for her. Jake thought
Britt looked at him with cold eyes as she was getting angry her eyes started to glow blue. “I want you to get out of my base! Now!” Britt said
Zeek who was in his room heard her yell and wondered what was going on. When he walked out he saw the water in the area having ripples in it. He knew what that meant, even Atem was noticing ripples in the nile water.
Britt He thought
Atem rushed out to see what was going on and that’s when he saw her getting angry at Jake. He rushed past Hathor and went to Britt’s side to calm her down. He didn’t want her to get consumed by her anger.

Rebel Princess and the future Pharaoh pt. 17
Britt raised her hand ready to hit Jake again but Atem grabbed her wrist and made her put it down. He knew too well her anger could get the best of her when it came to Jake and that was what he wanted to prevent. Jake backed away but he glared at Atem as he was fueled by rage toward him, which led to him betraying Britt.
“Get out of my sight!” Britt yelled at Jake as her eyes started to glow blue. Atem held her arms down preventing her from using her power to hurt Jake at that moment. Hathor was ready to use fire but she knew too well to let her cousin handle it. Jake though ran out of the place knowing too well it wasn’t going to be easy to earn her trust back.
Britt calmed the moment he was out of her sight, she looked at her group, and being the leader she knew now they didn’t have the time to hold back their final attack. She went up to the top of the steps and looked down at her people.
“I’m sorry for my behavior. But now we must take this chance to move our attack. Our big attack will come tomorrow I want our strongest warriors to hold their Ka’s till the final moment. Those of you who are strongest in other ways of fighting will be our big lead.” Britt said
Atem went up and stood beside her as he took her hand and raised it up. She concentrated as the water came up to her command and slowly dispersed among her group as a glimmer of hope. Everyone cheered but she was hurt by Jake’s betrayal because he was her friend. She had Atem let go as she returned to her chambers for the night.
For a while Atem had stayed away to give her time to think, Yugi had came over to him to speak with him.
“Brother.” He said
“Yes, Yugi?” He asked
“Will your princess be ok in this fight? A lot is expected of her.” Yugi asked
“She’s strong, she can handle herself.” Atem said
Little did anyone know there was one thing that could weaken Britt, it was something Britt wasn’t planning in her own plan for battle. Atem wasn’t even planning for this to happen at the final moment in battle.
When Atem came to Britt’s chambers to see if she was still asleep he walked in to see her at a trashcan throwing up. He went over to her and helped her up as he held her close.
“Britt, what’s wrong?” He asked
“I don’t know.” She said
He sighed but he layed her back in her bed as he went to go get Mana. He figured Mana could help Britt figure out what was going on with her. When Mana walked in Britt was lyrie at first because she didn’t trust so easily with certain people.
“Relax, Miss Britt.” Mana said
She explained to Britt what she was going to do but she could see Britt was hesitant to trust her. She had thought Britt trusted anyone who was friends with Atem but she could see she may have been wrong but as she took a better look at her she could see she was more afraid of being sick.
While Mana was trying to help Britt out or at least get Britt to let her Hathor had walked through the hall. She seen that her cousin and leader’s chambers were open and something was going on. She went straight to her cousin’s lover as she pinned him to the wall.
“What is going on with my cousin?” She demanded
“I don’t know, Mana is trying to figure it out.” He said
“Fine, but she better be ok.” Hathor said
She let him go and walked back to her chambers knowing she’d ask later what was going on. She still had to give an answer to Yugi.
What will I say to him? Hathor thought as she contemplated her decision on if she would say yes or no.
Mana was finally able to get Britt to trust her as she used a magic spell to check to see what was wrong with Britt. It was a few minutes of silent before Mana opened her eyes shocked.
“What?” Britt asked
“My leader, you’re with child…we’ve been with you for about eight months now and you’re about two months along.” Mana said
Britt was shocked and she looked down wondering what she was going to do. Many things were running through her mind at that time.
I can’t tell Atem, at least not yet until after the battle. I can’t tell anyone about the baby…No one can know. Britt thought
She grabbed Mana’s arm and looked at her “I beg of you, speak of this to no one.” Britt said
Mana was shocked but she nod though she hated lying to her best friend about his child. When Britt let her go she walked out of the room and saw Atem waiting to see what was going on with his future Bride.
“She’s just a little sick, she’ll be fine by morning.” Mana said
Atem nod as he went into the room to lay with her, he got close to her and hugged her to keep her calm. “You’re safe.” He told her, She nod as he soon relaxed closing his eyes and going to sleep.
If only you knew the truth though. She thought as she closed her eyes and a tear fell. Her hand rubbed her stomach slightly making sure to avoid his hand so he wouldn’t know.
When morning came the rest of the people made all the arrangements for their leader. They didn’t want her worrying anything about what needed to go so when Britt came down they had it all ready. People were in armor; Zoey took her aside and dressed her in her own armor so that she would be protected. Each Individual who had a gift had the marking on their armor.
As they all left Britt was about to join the others when Hathor pulled her aside. She told her she had accepted to be courted by Yugi. Britt was surprised but since she trusted her with this she gave her the most important secret she had right then.
“I’m pregnant.” Britt said
Hathor was shocked that her cousin told her this but she was glad she trusted her so much to tell her. “Please be careful in the battle.” Hathor said and Britt nod.
She went to be with the others as they set forth to lead her group. She was in front behind her were her most trusted friends Mira, Olivia, Hathor, Nannia, and Zoey. These were the people who helped make her power top of the line. Atem was leading the group behind Britt and her friends. When they got to the battlefield they had to split up into groups so they cornered where Aknadin was going to be. Britt was on one side of the field while Atem another side and her sisters were leading groups.
They waited for Aknadin and his followers to show up and when they did. Britt gave the signal for the people to come in but her orders were clear the strongest were to wait which meant her, her friends, her cousins, and her lover. As they all charged in to fight it was an all out battle with swords and Soul Kas going up against the people. Britt was using her gift resources to help her out.
As they were starting to need their strongest ones Britt was still holding her Goddess back but she signaled her friends to use theirs so when she was sent up in the air by one of the opponents to be brought to Aknadin, she used her sword to get free but by doing so she was dropped. It seemed like she was going to be hitting the ground but Zoey had the Nile Goddess’s pet Dragon catch her. Britt kept hold of the dragon as she led the way and had it attack. Zoey knew her princess’s control on the dragon was stronger than hers even though the dragon was hers.
Zeek had helped with the battle with his Ice Dragon. He could tell something was up with their leader, she was holding back her Goddess which wasn’t like her at all. Something had to be up.
Atem was fighting when he looked up seeing Britt with Zoey. He knew something was different but he couldn’t tell what it was. Britt had to be extremely careful now that she knew of her coming child which is why she hadn’t used her Goddess yet. Though she had the Nile Dragon go near ground as she got off and Zoey flew off staying up in the air to keep her princess safe.
The battle went on for hours as it seemed to be a never ending battle but Britt’s group was winning. Aknadin made his way through as the fight was going and he grabbed Britt by her neck. Making her gasp at how tight he had ahold of her.
“L-Let me go!” She yelled as water knocked him back. She knew she had the energy for one last attack before she’d have to depend on Atem to lead the fight. Her child was draining her energy fast with how much she used her gift. Aknadin went to take his sword out as he didn’t plan to let her stay alive but then Britt used her Goddess to knock him and his troops back.
After that attack she layed on her side weak from the energy loss, she looked over at Atem. “it’s up to you…finish this fight.” She said. Not far away Jake had been watching seeing Britt at her most vulnerable moment ever, he knew he had to help her.
When some of Aknadin’s men were coming at her, Jake had stepped in with his sword. “You want her, you have to go through me!” He yelled
Atem was trying to help with finishing the fight when he saw Jake defending Britt. As much as he hated seeing someone else defending his future wife he knew he owed Jake big time for helping out.
The moment the troops had everything handled Atem ran to Britt and picked her up. He started running toward where they left the horses and Jake was following behind. Britt grabbed hold of his shirt “I…need to tell you…” Britt said. She was worried that they might die in the battle. “Tell me what?” Atem said. Britt was about to tell him when she saw kas coming at them. Atem stopped to make sure they couldn’t be stopped as he used his own to protect them. “Now tell me what it is you need to tell me?” He said. Britt’s face went a very bright red as she couldn’t look at him. “I’m….with ch...ild..” Britt said though it was hard for her to talk with her energy drained.
When battle was over, Atem got her up on his horse and tied the reigns of hers to his so it would follow. Then he got on his horse behind her as he lead the troops back. Britt couldn’t fight because of her energy but the way he treated her was that of being fragile. She didn’t like it but she knew she hid the news of the child from him so she had to accept the way things were done.
Hathor watched as they headed back to base to get their things, she was flying above them on her dragon. She saw her cousin and leader lean back on Atem’s chest and close her eyes as she rested.
I’m glad she finally told him..If yugi knew I had known of his brother’s unborn child before his brother did it may not go over well. Hathor thought to herself.
