(don't forget what I had said via messages..also he is letting the food cool down a bit)
Atem shook his head. "No, that will be all." A small smile appeared on his features when she invited him to come along with her on the places she mentioned she wanted to go earlier. He could tell how nervous she was by the way she spoke while asking. He chuckled lightly. "Relax. There is no need to be afraid to ask. I would be delighted to join you and getting to know you sounds wonderful. Actually, I would like to visit the Domino Museum. There is something I need to take care of there."

(Gosh darn it...I did it again)
"Really? I haven't been there for a while either. What do you have to do at the Museum?" She asked, taking a sip of water. Secretly hoping it would cool down her face.

(just take your time reading the posts)
Atem debated whether he should mention whether he really was going to go through the process of being employed there. He knew he had to sometime, but he wanted to be sure it worked out before saying anything. 'She says she wants to get to know who I really am. That gives me an idea...that is, if the tablets are still there. ' "There are some artifacts that I wish to show you. Let's just say it is something that will enable to know something else about me."

"That sounds cool...I love things of the past; pottery, jewelry, even art." She sighed dreamily. "If they could talk, just think of the stories they'd tell! I'm sure the children at the clinic would love to hear them." The phone rang and Angela excused herself to answer it. "Hello?"
"Evening me Fairy Queen."
"Oh, Godpa! It's so good to hear from you! How's Germany?"
"Air's clear...hills are green...and I miss you dearly."
Angela giggled. "I miss you too, Godfather."
"How's everything?"
"All's fine. We have a guest-"
"'Guest', lass? Who or What?"
"A 'who', and his name's Atem. He's having a rough time and I offered him a place until he figured things out."
She heard her godfather chuckle. "You're just like your mother. Always helping those who need it most. I called to tell you I'll be back home in a few days. Possibly Monday."
"I'm happy to hear that. I can't wait to see you."
"Me as well, Fairy Queen. Me as well."
Angela said good-bye and hung up the phone before returning to the table. A smile on her rosy lips.

Atem chuckled to himself, finding Angela's enthusiasm to be quite endearing. Sure, he knew Tèa to be cheerful, but the aura Angela gave was quite different and intoxicating. He nodded in understanding when she left to answer the phone. Thinking the pasta should have cooled down sufficiently, he slowly started to make work of it. 'Mmmm.' As he ate, he heard Angela mention his name, but he didn't think too much of it, thinking who she was talking to was none of his concern. When she returned, he was about half-way done with the meal and he raised an eyebrow slightly when he saw her smiling. A part of him was curious as to what was making her happy. 'Now now, she is under no obligation to share that with you. Let her tell you of her own accord. ' This was one of the few times he had no qualms listening to his inner voice because he didn't want to come across as nosy.

"Sorry about that...that was my godfather. He's been in Germany teaching a lecture on herbal treatments for Burn Victims. He's the head of the Clinic I work at." She took a bite of her pasta, before adding a bit of cheese to it. "I can't wait to see him again."
Roxy barked happily at the mention of Angela's Godfather; tail wagging like mad.
"Yes, Roxy. He'll be back and take you on those long jogs again." She giggled. "Perhaps some long distance throws for fetch. Lord knows you need more exercise." Angela suddenly face palmed. "Oh! I'm such a scatter brain...how's the cut on your head? Does it hurt at all?"

Atem took a sip of water before nodding in understanding. "Ah." He was glad she told him on her own because with his conscience nagging at him, he didn't think he would be able to handle it. And he was intrigued by the work her godfather did and realized how intelligent she was so she was not to be underestimated because of her youthful appearance. He chuckled when Roxy showed how excited she was and at Angela's exchange with her. He got a firm look on his face. "Don't ever say such things about yourself. To answer your question, it actually doesn't hurt."

Angela blushed a bit, from Atem's statement about herself, then grinned. "I'm glad. You can take the bandage off tomorrow since it should ok." She finished her food before gesturing to the bowl of pasta. "Would you like some more? Or are you finished?"

Removing the bandage the next day sounded very good to Atem. He was actually tempted to remove it earlier that day but decided not to for fear he would endure a scolding from Angela. He thoroughly enjoyed the pasta as well as her cooking, but he felt full. "No thank you, I'm satisfied." He had thoughts about going to the room to read some more for the rest of the evening, but didn't think that would be considerate. "Do you need help with the dishes? Or if you like, I can take care of them entirely."

"I would love the help, thank you asking." Angela said, happily. She began to pick up her dishes and took them to the sink. "Could you dry after I wash them? I'll put them away after." The golden eyed woman asked, while putting soapy water in the sink. "And how's the book? You seem to be enjoying it."

Smiling, Atem brought his dishes over to the sink as well. He had half expected her to decline his offer. Not that he would have had a huge problem with it, if her reason was good. "Consider it done," he said, going on the other side so he could be ready for when she did wash some. "And yes, I do enjoy the book. It is quite intriguing."

"Really? What's it about?" Angela asked, handing him the first dish to dry. "Did you get it on your outing today? Or is it one form those boxes in your room?"

"It is a historical book on Ancient Greece," answered Atem as he took the dish from Angela and proceeded to dry it. Once done, he put it up. "Yes, I bought it from a bookstore near one of the clothing stores."

"Oh, I love that store!" Angela exclaimed. Handing him the next dish, she continued. "I go there to look for new stories to read the Clinic Kids...next to Dueling they love Story Time." She laughed. "I sometimes catch a few teens listening outside the door of the Children's Ward because their nothing else to do or they're trying to ditch treatments. I love the name of the store too; 'Rose & Candle'. It just has such a mysterious vibe and calming atmosphere." The young woman handed him the glasses next. "By the way, Atem? Don't take this the wrong way...but are you nervous about Roxy being around you? If you are I can keep her in the backyard."

Atem smiled at Angela as he took the dish and glasses to wash. As reserved as he was, he had to admit he enjoyed her company very much, for she was so bubbly and energetic. Usually babbling was a turn off but then he realized it was because some people made no sense and she wasn't like that at all. He found her ability to converse to be proficient and he could have intelligent conversation with her. He pondered her question about Roxy, not entirely sure how to answer it. He was sure he would sound pathetic going on about having to clean himself. "Nervous is not the word I would use..however, she is a bit overbearing," he answered truthfully as he put the washed dishes up.
